Finally, I’m back to finish the story…

Roughly ten years ago I began this blog about a 7,000-mile wilderness walk that I took in 1997 and 1998. To recap, the journey led from Calabria in southern Italy to the top of Norway, and passed through the ‘other’ Europe, the wild Europe that many people miss.

It was a journey that changed my life.

Writing the blog took up a lot of time, and eventually my life in the Colorado Rockies got in the way. But, when I paused working on it, I made a promise to everyone following that I would return and finish telling the story.

Well, here I finally am!

And I’m thrilled to announce that the story is now complete.

I’ve written two books about this journey: The Earth Beneath My Feet and On Sacred Ground. The first book will be published on June 1st 2021, and will be available on Amazon as a paperback and an ebook. The second book will follow in Spring 2022.

I’d like to apologize that returning here has taken so long! But I hope that if you read the full story you’ll forgive me! My books describe places few travelers have written about (such as the Apennines, a hidden, forgotten range), and they chronicle a journey that no one else has taken.

I hope you’ll take a look!

And in the meantime, maybe I’ll see you on my new blog…
